At first fatcow was awesome. That is because they roped me in on a deal. Then the second year with them they almost doubled it saying the first year was a buy in deal. Thinking okay I understand that from a business stand point. However, the third year. SAME THING. They give generic answers as to why their prices go up EVERY YEAR. Absolutely ridiculous. Sadly, I didn’t catch it until the last minute and was automatically charged for another year. Because I have been with them before no refund. ALWAYS RAISING PRICES! Customer service, is a hit and miss. Only a few actually know what they are doing. The rest either guess or blame it on something else so they don’t have to deal with the problem. They are lazy and I agree w/Beth Harrison, they do not stick to their own terms of service.

unfortunately it is, web hosting prices had increased in recent years, and 2011 is the highest price increase we ever seen. Same thing happen at justhost, ipower, fatcow and ipage and many other web hosts.

fatcow hosting price is now $4.67/mo and user can lock in the price for 3 years, this will prevent price changes in the next three years. Get better deals on weekend sales, fatcow is $3.67/mo!

Fatcow does suck.
I tried to sign up and spent 2 hours with no luck.
1. The web sit says one thing and they say something else.
2. They asked for a username witch I gave and then they sent me a different emails with different usernames and passwords. Neither worked.
3. I gave up and decided to cancel. They gave me credit for my credit card right away., However they had also gotten paid through payPal. I asked for a credit and guest what. It takes 45 days for me to receive a check in the mail. They claim that can’t issue a credit on payPal.!!!!!!!
I had very dad luck with them.

They lie. I cancelled my website and I had payed by payPal, guest what???
They say they can’t give credit via paypal . They have to send you a check. Well guess what!!! They will send you a check, but don’t expect to see it for 45 days.
Bunch of ript off ass holes.

Never could set up website. Called a million times for two weeks straight. Customer Service had me changing my domain over because they said it “HAD” to be transferred to them. I didn’t know they were charging me for this, I had paid for my domain elsewhere and was told they just transfer it.
Drop and drag did not download – it did not work.
Will not give full refund. State they will keep $15 for one thing, then send another email stating they are keeping another $15

Fatcow is just like any other web host, its very easy to use.
And thing shouldn’t get wrong like this and so confusing at the end.
I am trying to figure out where went wrong and what could caused this ‘disaster’
Let me make this simple as possible! After signup and have access to the Fatcow hosting account, why not use the Simplescripts installer to setup websites for you? There are over 80+ type of websites scripts for you to install. Including Forum, Blog, CMS, Gallery, Wiki, Social Site, and much more
If you choose to create website using SiteBuilder tool. This tools allows you to create website via their drag drop interface, 100% online. It can’ be downloaded as its not a PC software. If you choose to use PC software, the choice can be Dreamweaver or Coffeecup or other WYSIWYG software.
Domain transfer is strictly OPTIONAL. You can choose to change the DNS and point your domain to Fatcow only, without transferring the domain physically.

It sucks, simply because you don’t get unlimited webspace even if they say so: Unlimited webspace means 25 GB with Fatcow.
Today I received a warning email that my account will be suspended in 3 days if I don’t get under 25 GB (I’m currently hosting wedding photos for my clients in high resolution because I thought unlimited means unlimited).
Currently I have 27 GB and now I have to start deleting client galleries that I promised my clients to stay online. So, does Fatcow suck? Yes, because they lie to you about unlimited webspace. Oh, right – hold on. I guess it it written down somewhere in their Terms of Service. Well, I haven’t found it but I guess it is somewhere in there. Good luck finding it. It must be somewhere close to the section where they tell you that they charge a $10 domain renewal fee per year and that their initial offer is only good for the first year, then the prices go up.

From Beth
Fatcow doesn’t even abide by their own terms of service. I was dealing with them, even have three accounts with them, but the moment their team couldn’t do a simple domain name transfer I requested a refund. Funny how the loss of money made a fire light under their ass because they were able to actually do it by then. Of course now they refuse to give me a full refund as per their own terms of service. So now I am canceling all my accounts with them and will refuse to ever do business with them or any other affiliate of their main company.
